Iron Mountain's LiveVault Service Named 2006 CODiE Award Finalist

Leading online backup and recovery service for small and medium businesses recognized by panel of journalists and peers

February 7, 2006

Boston, MA - Iron Mountain Incorporated (NYSE:IRM), the global leader in information protection and storage services, today announced that its LiveVault online backup and recovery service has been named a finalist in the Best Storage Software Solution category for the 21st Annual CODiE Awards. Iron Mountain recently acquired LiveVault to round out its distributed data protection services portfolio.

“Being named a CODiE finalist is an accomplishment that speaks volumes about the quality and value of Iron Mountain’s LiveVault solution,” said John Clancy, executive vice president of Iron Mountain Digital, the Company’s technology business unit that specializes in data backup/recovery and archiving software as a service (SaaS). “The judges are reaffirming what any of our customers can tell you – using the LiveVault service provides the peace of mind that data is fully protected 24x7 and recoverable 100% of the time.”

The LiveVault service offers the first and only solution that seamlessly couples network- and disk-based backup and recovery to create a complete and fully automated data protection solution. LiveVault automatically and continuously backs up business server data via a secure Internet connection, storing the data offsite in a secure, remote location, where it is available for immediate recovery in the event of a system failure, virus, human error or other disaster.

Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards remains the standard-bearer for celebrating outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital and education technology industries. Through a unique combination of journalist and peer review, the CODiE Awards recognize 71 categories of outstanding products and services, as well as corporate excellence and philanthropy. This year’s finalists represent a wide and impressive array of technology and business excellence, passion and success. They were chosen from more than 1,026 nominations submitted by more than 500 companies – breaking the nominations record set in the 2005 awards.

“The 21st Annual CODiE Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best of the software, information and education technology industries," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. “When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a CODiE Awards Finalist is a significant achievement.”

The 2006 CODiE Award winners will be announced at a gala event on May 16 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco, CA.
